Anglo Aquatics Iris Pseudacorus Bastardii 3 Litre
This Anglo Aquatics Iris Pseudacorus Bastardii is a Marginal plant that comes with pale creamy yellow flowers and is ideal for placing in shallow edges or on shallow planting shelves.
Marginal plants are perfect for the borders of your pond where the water is most shallow, or perhaps on a planting shelf. They are able to tolerate waterlogged soil but should be planted no deeper than four inches below the water level. These hardy aquatic plants can be grown outside of the water also, as long as their soil is kept consistently moist.
Benefits: Vigorous broad green foliage with lovely pale creamy-yellow flowers which make it an attractive alternative to Iris pseudacorus. As with all iris the tubers are harmful if eaten.

Helpful Tips: After foliage has died back in Autumn cut back to just above the water surface. If trimming left until spring take care not to damage emerging shoots.
Repotting or Replanting: 9cm marginal plants require potting into a mesh basket. Place in a pond no deeper than 1/3 maximum recommended planting depth to allow the plants to establish. Plants over 60cm height growth will benefit from repotting into a larger mesh basket or should be planted in gravel to prevent them from falling over. Place in pond no deeper than 1/2 maximum recommended planting depth to allow the plants to establish. 3 litre and 5 litre plants do not require repotting; there is no need to remove the mesh basket. Place on the shelf of the pond at the required depth.
