Johnsons Carrot Resistafly – Tozresis F1 Seeds
A Brit’sh variety specially bred to deter carrot fly attacks, these are deliciously firm and crunchy, sweet Nantes roots with superb flavour. Seedlings appear within 7-21 days of planting and if continuous crops are desirable sow every 2-3 weeks. When harvesting, select alternate young carrots from the row, allowing the remainder to develop fully. Keep well watered to prevent roots splitting. Root vegetables boast a host of colours and flavours and include carrots, radish, horseradish, sweet potato, turnip and beetroot. Their low rate of metabolism allows for a relatively long postharvest life. Thanks to their high water content, they are key ingredients for a low fat diet. This wholefood is well suited for all cooking options: grilling, mashing, roasting, frying and even in soups. Don’t skimp on sunshine when growing them!
