Johnsons Carrot Rainbow F1 Seeds
From white through yellow to orange variously coloured, and slightly distinctively flavoured, this is a strong growing, high yielding Nantes type with long roots. When harvesting, young carrots must be alternately selected to allow for the reminder to develop fully. Weeds must be uprooted and the seed beds well watered to prevent roots splitting. Root vegetables boast a host of colours and flavours and include carrots, radish, horseradish, sweet potato, turnip and beetroot. Their low rate of metabolism allows for a relatively long postharvest life. Thanks to their high water content, they are key ingredients for a low fat diet. This wholefood is well suited for all cooking options: grilling, mashing, roasting, frying and even in soups. Don’t skimp on sunshine when growing them!
